Rayanair charging for toilet use on flight?

Rayanair is Europe’s largest budget carrier and they may be showing why. They are considering charging flight passengers to use the toilet. This is not a joke. They would have a coin slot outside the plane bathroom and it would cost approximately 1 pound ($1.43 USD). Make sure you carry change!
Certain airlines have been charging now for baggage, seating, snacks and drinks. I can deal with all of that but if I’m on a flight and I have to “drain the monster”, there is going to be problems. Well if this “toilet charging” should ever hit US flights, I have some solutions to avoid a toilet charge:
- Don’t drink any fluids or eat anything at least 12 hours before a flight.
- If you do need to drink fluids within 12 hours of a flight, bring an empty bottle with you.
- If you do need to eat within 12 hours of a flight, bring a bucket.
- Go natural and do like the bears do.
Here is the article from USA today on Rayanair toilet charging.

Since I just paid $6 to have the luxury of sitting in the aisle seat of row 27 on AirTran, I don’t really doubt this. That’s on top of the $15 I had to pay to check my bag because you aren’t allowed 2 carry-ons and I need clothing and a laptop for work. So either I check my bag so I can bring my laptop on board or I go to Baltimore naked.

pretty soon they are going to start charging you for the flight… oh wait they already do that. I don’t think airlines can think of anything else to charge for.

From the horrible condition of some of the toilettes of flights that I have been on, I should have brought a bucket.

The bathrooms are so damn small… they should give those for free and have larger ones with a charge
