Opie and Anthony enraged on Philly Cop killing

“John Pawlowski, a five-year veteran and the newlywed and expectant father was shot several times after he and his partner confronted Rasheed Scruggs, 33, who had been harassing a “hack” cab driver at Broad Street and Olney Avenue, police said.”  - Philly.com.   Shock jocks Opie and Anthony were completely on the warpath about this atrocity… well mostly Anthony.
Anthony essentially made a “call to arms” about John Pawlowski’s senseless death as well as the Philly Officer death toll of SEVEN officers in the past two years.  In a time when most media is extremely PC, Anthony completely spoke his mind declaring this was a “hate crime”, the assailant was “black”… he did not use the phrase “African American.”  Anthony entering dangerous territory but not backing down.

 
Anthony was livid that activists such as Al Sharpton have not stepped in on the Philadelphia cop shooting epidemic to date.  Al Sharpton has been casted as an “opportunist” creating “race problems” rather than solutions. Anthony is right… where is Sharpton? 
The Opie and Anthony tirade went on for a long time and rightly so, with a call from a Philly Police Office who went to cadet school with John Pawlowski.  The officer stated that the Philly Police force was facing future cuts as well as the Obama stimulus package not allotting any funds for more police staffing/support, but allotting millions for a “Polar Bear” exhibit at the zoo.

 
Anthony also made a very important statement… stating we must speak out about these things.  There will be people that will call you “racist” but the slaying of John Pawlowski and other Philly Officers by “black” assailants is panning out to be a HUGE PROBLEM.  Activists such as Sharpton should be doing something about what can be considered “hate crimes.”

 
FROM UNLEASHED:  Before everyone starts saying this site is racist, please read the article fully and do some research.  This article is meant to point out there is a race problem in Philly and someone needs to take action and figure it out. Officer Pawlowski was trying to help someone … doing his job and got shot for it.  Opie and Anthony pointed out that when you need help, you call “911” and these officers who are getting killed are the ones who are there for you. 

 
Opie and Anthony have stated that there is a huge following of their show by Philly Officers and will be setting up a fund for John Pawlowski.  I’m hoping that their tirade will bring enough attention to this Philly Officer problem and immediately help the family of John Pawlowski as well as create solutions and more safety for the Philly officers for the future.
